Start the School Year with This ‘All About Me’ Bible Craft!
There’s no shortage of back to school Bible craft activities for kids. What there is a shortage of is Bible-based activities for Sunday schools, homeschools, and Christian kids! Which is why we want to change that ASAP.
This “All About Me” Bible craft flip book is the perfect back to school activity to start the new school year by glorifying God. Not only are there different engaging and interactive ‘getting to know you’ activities on each page, but most of the pages highlight scripture that reminds children of different Biblical truths.
What’s Included in this Back to School Bible Craft: God Made Me Special?
Page 1 – Cover Page: God Made Me Special
Titled, “God Made Me Special” (instead of me, the child writes in their name), kids will start by drawing their self-portrait in the box on this cover page.
Page 2 – My Age
Children will write their age, draw the corresponding number of candles on the cake, and color the page.
Page 3 – My Family
Kids will love drawing a portrait of their family in the picture frame, as well as a picture of them doing something special with their family. This page also highlights the Bible verse from Psalm 139:13, “For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb.”
Page 4 – My Favorite Food
This page contains 3 options – a boy, a girl, and a bear. Choose one for your class, or if you prefer, you can print out the boy for the boys, and the girl for the girls. Originally I only had the boy in this All About Me activity, but at the suggestion of a customer, I added these other options for you to choose between.
This page also highlights the verse from Psalm 119:103, “How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Children will finish this page by drawing their favorite food in the character’s mouth and then coloring the picture.
Page 5 – My Prayers
As children draw or write something they want to pray about in the word bubble, they are reminded of God’s instruction in Philippians 4:6, to “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God.”
Page 6 – My Hand
Kids will trace their hand in this space and decorate and color it in any unique way they like. This final page reminds children of the verse from Psalm 139:14, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” It’s one of the greatest reminders of how God sees us when we remember exactly what His Word says about us!
